Grace Classical Academy: PRAXIS

Praxis, quite simply, is the students of Grace Classical Academy putting into practice [in performance before a live audience] that which they are learning in the classroom. Each class – yes, even kindergarten! – proudly exhibits its newly-acquired knowledge. This Fall’s Praxis included recitations about the days of creation, books of the Bible, Psalm 19, history sound-offs and timelines, Roman gods, excerpts from Augustine’s Confessions, and the entirety of Joaquin Miller’s poem Columbus, as well as live demonstrations of Socratic discussion of literature as practiced by GCA’s Logic School students (7 & 8th grades), and a video presentation of Miss Huband’s 5th grade classroom project to discover the identity of World Explorers from various travel trunks.
